In this month's webinar topic "Bioinformatics" hosted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte's (UNCC) Bioinformatics Research Center; Dr. George O. Obiero (Director, University of Nairobi's Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics - CEBIB) and Lunayo Accadius (MSc Bioinformatics, CEBIB) will be presenting on "Exploring and Utilizing of Translational Bioinformatics in Animal Health in Sub-Saharan Africa". Daniel Janies, Ph.D. from UNCC will provide insights on "Understanding the origins of and countermeasures to SARS-CoV-2 and other human Coronaviruses".

Student Short Biography:

Catherine Ngaywa is a Graduate student, pursuing Master of
Science in Biotechnology at the University of Nairobi, Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (CEBIB). She holds a Bachelor of Philosophy Degree in Biotechnology at the Technical University of Kenya. She has worked on Identification of Antimicrobial resistance in Escherichia coli isolated from raw household milk intended for human consumption.
