The Centre for Biotechnology and Bioinformatics (CEBIB) recently received a visit by, Prof Stephen Isaacs, Chairman and CEO, ADURO BIOTECH. The visit was facilitated by the Kenya National Academy of Sciences (KNAS) in July 2012.  Prior to Aduro, Prof. Isaacs was founder (1991), President and CEO of Cerus Corporation (NASD: CERS), a biomedical products company commercializing the Intercept Blood Systems. Prior to Cerus, Prof Isaacs was the CEO of a number of small biotech companies where he negotiated contracts and partnerships with Cetus Corporation, Chiron Corporation, Eastman Kodak, Hoffmann-La Roche and Applied Biosystems. He is a renowned international expert in psoralen photochemistry.  ADURO Biotech is based in the US.
