Publications produced in Academic Year 2019-2020

In the Academic Year 2019/2020, CEBIB students, staff, and collaborators produced eleven (12) publications in high-impact journals. Notably, CEBIB student, Ms. Lilian Mbaisi, alongside collaborating co-authors based at the International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), published their novel research work, titled ‘A microsporidian impairs Plasmodium falciparum transmission in Anopheles arabiensis mosquitoes’s in Nature Communications journal. Moreover, CEBIB student, Ms. Zaneta Kidiavai alongside collaborating co-authors from Kenya Medical Research Institute - Wellcome Trust Research Programme published their research findings titled 'Peripheral blood mononuclear cell transcriptomes reveal an over-representation of down-regulated genes associated with immunity in HIV-exposed uninfected infants' in Nature's Scientific Report.
